Senica dairy plant has been established in 1992 by privatization, initially as a state corporation and in 1994 as a private corporation by selling shares to the majority stockholder. Senica has a long-lasting tradition in producing milk products. The first milk plant was open in 1951 and processed milk from farmers. Progressively, the raw cow milk has been bought from three districts and this tradition still continues.

  The range of products has changed during almost 50 years. We have always produced cheese with low - heated cheese curd named Eidam tehla (Edam brick cheese) with 30, 40 and 45% of fat, except market milk packed in different boxes with a different percentage of fat. In the past we produced so-called soft butter cheese , later in 1960´s we produced Cheddar cheese, which we exported into the USA as well as soft cheese ISTAMBUL exported to Libanon . One part of the producing program was production of curds - heated, skimmed, and eventually it was rennet program.

  We had a tradition in production of yoghurts, which has changed its packing from glass-pots to later plastic-pots. The tradition of cheese specialities, so-called "Miláčik", continually has changed its production to cheese desserts and termixs. Additionally, we produced butter as well as acidified milk products (Zakysanka, Juwisen).

  Senica dairy plant Inc. supplied region of Zahorie with milk, milk products and other foodstuffs, but with selected products as Eidam tehla, Termix, butter was supplied almost the whole country. Today Senica dairy plant produces Edam cheese and fresh cheese named Senická hrudka.

  The tradition and quality of Eidam tehla moved forward its export almost to every country in Europe. Senica dairy plant has exported almost 50% of this product anually already for seveal years.

  In addition to our production and sales Edam cheese, Senica dairy plant transacts with milk and milk products of the czech company Olma Olomouc.
